Pastel colors are very soft. The colors here are TOO harsh for that. Throw in more reddish tones- to mustardy yellows, with some green-blues with bright but contrasty yellow greens.

How did you achieve such graininess? I love it! I can't tell if it is traditional or digital, but starting to assume just now it is traditional.

Whoa this is beautiful, something tells me this has to be made with MS Paint, but that isn't an insult, but a compliment as I love how rough and expressive. That air brush tool is what reminds me of Ms Paint from the Windows XP days. I really dig this work heavily. I love the surrealness of it, and craziness.
