I've never felt so disconnected with my art journey as I like to draw one part cute anime girls, one part these backgrounds, and animals.
If gonna use other people's assets, modify them dramatically where the context is one part recognizably your own, but give credit. Change the context as much as possible.

I find the backrooms artwork on newgrounds... Is using other people's assets rather than using digital painting as the art choice... I get some are for jokes, but... I find the lack of horror or what makes the backrooms work isn't present in most of it. It's used as a poor tag or using 3D assets rather than digital painting. I learned art-style + context the HARD WAY.
